ACTIVITIES

Here follows a continuously updated list of activities that I'm involved in: please contact me if you have any question, or suggestion!

Main Activities

Finite Element Analysis: FEA is the application of the finite element method (FEM), that is a numerical technique for finding approximate solutions to partial differential equations (PDE) and their systems; in simple terms, FEM is method for dividing up a very complicated problem into small elements that can be solved in relation to each other. Powerful but dangerous in the wrong hands...

Piping Stress Analysis: this is stress analysis applied to piping system, which address the static and dynamic loading resulting from the effects of gravity, temperature changes, concentrated forces, internal and external pressures, changes in fluid flow rate and seismic activity.
Codes and standards establish the minimum requirements of stress analysis.

Forensic Engineering and Failure Analysis: failure analysis is the investigation of materials, products, structures or components that fail or do not operate or function as intended, causing personal injury or damage to property. The consequences of failure are dealt with by the law of product liability. The field also deals with retracing processes and procedures leading to accidents in operation of vehicles or machinery.

The subject is applied most commonly in civil law cases, although it may be of use in criminal law cases, this is why is also known as forensic engineering.
